STUDENT HIT WITH A $ 16,000 WATER BILL- SAY IT ISN'T SO...............

An NAU student was given a $ 16,349.57  water bill . Total use: more than 1 million gallons of water. How much water is that you ask? Enough to fill 80 average sized swimming pools. The student rented a home not far from the Campus. Since the Tenant has the utilities in his name, this posed a bit of a problem. The students mother turned to channel 12 for help. A leak was discovered, the home had a broken pipe since possibly February. More than 1.5 million gallons leaked into the ground before discovered. The City and homeowner are negotiating a settlement.
